My picture stands out due to the combination of the maroon shading and the Crimson Dahlia in the background. The colors compliment each other and I manipulated the picture of the flower to remove the edges, leaving behind just the maroon color. Theres also a ball lightning strike in the background but its kinda hard to see...

My first attempt at a Mass Gesture, I deviated from the concept a bit and made more of a profile silhouette.
Second attempt, still didn't quite grasp the concept, but started to understand a bit.
Kinda worked?
Its a stapler... not a brick

Contour Line Drawings

The focal point of my drawing would be the Hammer and the Clamp. I set the opacity of the other layers to a minimal amount while leaving the Hammer and the Clamp untouched. This give emphasis to the darker lines upon a gray background.

The Most important technique I used in my drawing would be changing the opacity of the layers to give a 3D and blending effect. The opacity also adds a sense of depth to the picture, the closer the object it to the screen, the more sold the line becomes.

I gave my drawing a very mechanical look to it, due to the majority of industrial tools, as opposed to a more natural look. This is emphasized by the very strait and uniform lines that compose the background. This gives it a unique look because the only curved lines you see on the page are on the tools themselves, this makes them standout even if the opacity is low.
